Happy first day of May! Sharing some really exciting news with you today. I don't know how this happend, but it's still spring here and they are all flower related.   Heading Uptown on the A! "April Flowers - 2014" was the painting chosen by the MTA Artists Unite Subway Elevator Poster Project. After moving back Uptown in April 2014, I started painting the flowers again. I never imagined my flowers could bloom in the subway. I've been sent an image of the poster that will be in hitting the NYC subway starting this month. Check it out! zfmq_subwayposterfdlm.jpg Live Painting: This past weekend I was invited to appear and paint live on the "Blank Canvas" show for LittleThings - The leading lifestyle destination for inspiring, uplifting, and engaging content, creating feel good stories & videos. My piano is ready!
The 2017 Sing for Hope Pianos will be outside from June 5-25, 2017!
This year, Sing for Hope will place its 400th unique piano artwork in the five boroughs, making NYC host to more street pianos than any other city in the world. As New York City’s largest recurring public art project in NYC, the Sing for Hope Pianos impacts an estimated 2 million people each year.
The Sing for Hope Pianos places artist-designed pianos throughout NYC’s parks and public spaces for anyone and everyone to play. For three weeks this June, the pianos will bring individuals and communities together in an open festival of art for all. After their time on the streets, Sing for Hope will transport the instruments in NYC public schools, where they will become hubs for Sing for Hope’s ongoing creative programs and enrich students’ lives for years to come. Stay tuned for location info. zfmq_elpiano.jpg                                                                                      Psst Free Art 4 U Until next time, stay in touch!   Best, Franck
