Return to JOURNAL

I started this Buddha a while back and I just wasn’t digging how it was coming along at all. In fact, I hated it. I decided put it away for a while, something I do with all works I can’t resolve. When I found it again last week, I decided that I should just paint over it to start something new. I hung it on the wall till then and now it has become my favorite thing in the boardroom. I like that it greets me every day when I enter my creative space. I don’t know if there’s a Buddhist lesson here, but the fact that it is unfinished reminds me that there’s more creative work to do, in order to grow and expand as an artist. I also decided I’m not going to touch it and leave it as is, as part of my private collection.
